Yard work
Well summer is off to a fast start. Clarke took a week off and been working his head off in the yard (and Brenda even helped a little too!!) and things are looking nice. Clarke planted the window boxes in front of the house. They look really nice now and even better when they grow and fill in.We took a huge load of weeds, limbs, etc. to the dump - good times! In the next year we have several more shrubs to be removed - not looking forward to that mess!
The sand pile has been a work in progress - it started out as a sand area.We finally put a frame in, a couple hundred pounds of sand in last year, and six hundred pounds in this year - and a few toys and chairs. I hope that it ends up to be a fun area for the kids to play. I also hope that some of the sand actually stays in the sand box - I can dream can't I?!?!?!? If I could fit in the little chairs, I would be out there right now, wiggling my toes in the sand.
In our work to make the yard presentable and fun for family and friends--we noted that the trampoline pad was worn and torn up. Since it's about as old as Katie, I guess thats not too bad. We decided to go with BSU colors--go Orange, bo big blue, fight, fight--BSU!! The tramp does not have enough little people jumping on it right now, but i guess swimming lessons which are soon to start will change that! The yard is slowly shaping up:)
